Ladysmith Family and Friends (LaFF) Family Resource Program is seeking a fun loving, creative and caring individual to join our close-knit team to support our families and deliver quality programming during a variety of LaFF’s activities and programs. This is a part-time/on call position.

Main responsibilities will include welcoming families; facilitating programs; encouraging participation by families in all aspects of program; creating and implementing play-based learning activities; maintaining program equipment and representing and promoting LaFF positively within the community.

LaFF’s ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families, combined with formal education in a family centered training program or a willingness to obtain it upon hire. Up to date First Aid and CPR are essential and a Criminal Record Check must be completed prior to beginning work. The ability to work with a wide range of families and children and be part of a team which creates and nurtures a supportive and caring community environment is essential. Nutritional, Health and Wellness Training, Volunteer Management, and /or Special Event Coordination would be considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be “on call” and will fill in for current part time staff. Availability for variable daytime and possible evening hours is required.
