Become part of the family. . .

As part of LaFF’s goal of maintaining stable programming and on- going community engagement, we encourage participants and community members to become LaFF society members.

‍Membership in the Society confers:

  • Commitment to the organization’s values, policies and community goals

  • Assists the organization with maintaining formal membership rolls usable for grant writing and sustainability issues

  • Opportunity to become a volunteer with LaFF

  • Opportunity to put name forward to be on the Board of Directors.  Potential candidates for board positions must be a member in good standing for at least one month prior to running for office

  • Opportunity to attend LaFF’s Annual General Meeting with voting privileges

Procedure

1)      An annual membership due of $5.00.   (payable via E-transfer to donations@familyandfriends.ca, CanadaHelps or cash drop off)

2)      Membership is open to any member of the public who are 14 years of age or older and does not limit non-members from utilizing all LaFF programming resources.

3)      Employees of LaFF are not entitled to become members. 

4)      Members will fill out a membership form providing LaFF with personal information that will be used for membership tracking purposes only.  Any personal information collected by LaFF will be kept confidential in accordance with the Information Management Policy.

5)      LaFF memberships are available from the Program Facilitators, at the LaFF Office or online through the LaFF website.

6)      Members will be automatically added to LaFF’s email distribution list unless requested otherwise.

LaFF is a non‐profit society that provides inclusive, interactive opportunities for the development of children, families and community.  As part of our goal of maintaining stable programming and on-going community engagement, we are looking for commitment from LaFF participants, supporters and community to become society members.
