On October 30, 2025, our amazing Executive Director, Jacqueline Neligan, was honoured at the B.C. Legislature in Victoria with the King Charles III Coronation Medal; a national recognition presented to Canadians who make extraordinary contributions to their communities. 🇨🇦

Nominated by former MP Lisa Marie Barron and presented by both Ms. Barron and MLA Stephanie Higginson, this moment was made even more meaningful by the presence of four generations of Jacqueline’s family, along with friends and board members.💙

For decades, Jacqueline has poured her heart into creating a welcoming, inclusive space where connection, learning, and community truly thrive.

As LaFF celebrates 30 years of service, this recognition shines a light on the power of early-years support and the belief that it takes a village to raise a child.🏡👶
