Question: What are your hours of operation?
Answer: LaFF’s Family Resource Program is open Mon-Fri 9:30-12:00 At Aggie Hall. Click here to view the schedule.

Question: I am not able to come during the day, do you have evening programs?

Answer: Yes, LaFF also facilitates an evening program called Family Frolics.  Please see our schedule for current times and locations or download the event calendar.

Question: Do you ever need volunteers to help out with LaFF??

Answer: Yes, at Ladysmith Family and Friends we believe that it takes a community to support a family in raising a child…and we like to give individual citizens, community organizations and businesses the opportunity to participate in ways that are enriching for all involved.  Please see our Volunteer section for more information or contact the LaFF coordinator at laffcoordinator@shaw.ca

Question: How much does is cost to attend LaFF?

Answer: There is a suggested donation of $2.00 per family.  For convenience we have punch cards available for a $15.00 donation for 10 visits.  Talk to any of the LaFF staff for more information.

Question: Can you please tell me more about becoming a member of the LaFF Society?

Funding Support:

Question: Is LaFF a registered charity?
Answer: Yes, LaFF is a registered Society in BC.  Our Society Number is S-33538.

Question: Can I make a donation to support LaFF’s programming?

Answer: Yes!  Please contact Coordinator Jacquie Neligan in person during LaFF hours, or call her at 250-210-0870, or send an email to laffcoordinator@shaw.ca

Question: Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

Answer: Yes. Tax receipts are issued for donations over $10.

Question: Does LaFF receive any government money?

Answer: Yes.  LaFF receives general support funding from the Province of British Columbia Ministry of Children and Family Development and BC Gaming.  We also receive support in-kind from the Town of Ladysmith.

Question: Who else funds LaFF?

Answer: LaFF currently enjoys financial support from the Queen Alexandra Foundation, the United Way Central & Northern Vancouver Island, and the BC Association of Family Resource Programs, as well as both donations and gifts-in-kind from local businesses and service agencies.  Please see the “Partners and Supporters” section of our website for more details.
